Who We Are

Gone For Good was founded in 2006 in Birmingham, Alabama by United Ability to provide secure document and e-waste destruction services. From the beginning, the brand was built with a dual purpose: delivering compliant, secure information destruction while creating meaningful employment opportunities for adults with disabilities. The mission is embedded into daily operations through a structured employment model that provides skill development, stability, and purpose.

In 2016, Abe Bernstein joined the organization to provide operational leadership and business restructuring. Through 2017-2018, operational improvements were implemented as the business continued to mature and expand its customer base. In 2022, a franchising consultant was engaged to support development of the franchise model, and in 2024, Gone For Good Franchising, LLC formally began offering franchises and expanding the brand nationally. Every location adheres to the highest industry standards for security, compliance, and environmental responsibility.
