Techtron Environmental Solutions was founded in 1988 by Mike Bodnar to provide accurate, reliable testing for hazardous materials across the Upper Midwest. For over three decades, the company built a trusted reputation delivering environmental testing services to homeowners, businesses, and government agencies at both local and national levels.
In 2017, the concept for the Mobile Lab Network was developed: a proprietary system that would bring ISO-accredited lab testing directly to job sites, eliminating the delays and inefficiencies of traditional off-site labs. The first ISO-accredited mobile lab was deployed in 2020, proving the model could deliver certified results on-site within hours. In 2023, Brian Meyer acquired Techtron Environmental Solutions, and in 2025, the company launched its first joint venture and began franchising nationally with FranDevCo.
Techtron provides every franchisee with a fully equipped, ISO-accredited mobile lab, a complete testing facility on wheels. All equipment comes pre-calibrated for asbestos, mold, and lead testing.
