Zoom Drain was founded in 1995 in Philadelphia by Jim Criniti, a military veteran who comes from a long family line of plumbers including his grandfather, father, uncles, and brothers. Alongside his father and two brothers, Jim started the business with a single used truck and a conviction that drain and sewer services deserved the same professional standards he learned in the military. With the help of strong mentors and business coaches, he grew that one truck into a multi-shop, multi-million-dollar operation.
In 2015, Zoom Drain began franchising, and opened its first franchise location in Long Island, NY the following year. Since then, the system has expanded to 38 franchisees across 161 territories operating coast to coast, supported by a strategic growth investment from MPK Equity Partners and an executive leadership team with decades of experience in service-based franchising. What started as a family trade has become a national brand positioned to lead a massive, fragmented industry.
